climbing guidebook Valea Cernei
The Valea Cernei National Park is located in the southwest of Romania, close to the border with Serbia and Bulgaria. It is not only the admirable unspoilt nature and breathtaking beauty of this protected area that make it worth a visit, but also the good range of climbing routes at almost all levels of difficulty. There is still a lot of movement in the individual climbing gardens, as can be seen from the numerous projects. Projects are being planned, drilled and developed. In addition to many single-pitch routes, there are also “shorter” multi-pitch routes. Outside of winter, climbing is almost always pleasant. Some of the areas are in the immediate vicinity of the river. A refreshing dip in the clear water is an additional option. In addition to the cold water, there are also thermal springs and baths. tempting!
The climbing guide is kept very simple. Graphic topos, small site plans, an overview of the route for each climbing garden and, of course, the difficulties with the corresponding route names.
