Volume 1 South of Scottish Rock describes a wide range of climbing possibilities in the southern part of the Scottish Highlands between the natural boundaries of the Highland Boundary Fault and Great Glen Fault.
The routes and crags described are located in the following areas:
Isle of Arran, Arrochar Alps, Isles of Mull & Iona, Glen Coe & Glen Etive, Ardgour, Ardnamurchan, Ben Nevis, Glen Nevis, Central Highlands, The Cairngorms and Easter Ross.
It presents trad and alpine multi-pitch routes as well as sport climbing areas in all difficulty ranges and grades. A total of around 2,000 routes have been compiled, which means an increase of 270 climbing routes compared to the previous edition.

The layout of the guide is clearly laid out. Access and logistics are described for each area, detailed maps and sketches guide you to the crag safely, all routes are illustrated on easy-to-read color phototopos and additionally provided with detailed route descriptions.
