climbing guidebook Sarlat en Périgord Noir
The Périgord Noir is the most famous and beautiful part of the Dordogne, characterized by its deep forests, valleys and caves. It also owes its name to the many dark oak forests - the Black Périgord. The climbing guidebook describes 5 areas located in the middle of this wonderful landscape - Céou, Vallèe de la Dordogne (Falaises de Caudon, Falaises du Cingle, Blocs de Saint-Rome), Pech de Mont, Milhac and Falaise de Campagne.
Taken together, the 5 areas offer around 486 sport climbing routes and a handful of bouldering. The difficulties are concentrated in the 5th/6th/7th french. Grade, those who like it harder will also find routes up to the 8th grade, but there are also easier routes than 5th grade.
The guide compactly lists the necessary info - orientation, altitude and grade. The approach sketches are simple, but clearly arranged.
A special feature of the areas should not go unmentioned here: some rocks are located directly or at a short distance from the river Dordogne with its many beautiful swimming spots ...
