climbing guidebook Roca España Costa Blanca Nord
The Costa Blanca has now developed into one of the best climbing areas on the Iberian Peninsula. There are well over 100 first-class sport climbing areas on sun-drenched rock in a very small area.
Roca España Costa Blanca Volume North describes 40 sport climbing areas from Calpe in the south to Castellón de la Plana in the north. Volume South has been announced for 2016, which will then be dedicated to the areas further south.
Since the 1980s, the areas around Calpe have been popular destinations when climbing has been out of the question for weeks in cold northern Europe. One of the most popular destinations is the Sierra de Toix with over 200 routes. Those who prefer something more alpine will find exposed multi-pitch routes on the striking Peñon de Ifach.
