In recent years, Puglia has become an important destination for deep water soloing along its magnificent cliffs. But even on the most classic crags, sport climbing is following the same trend as in the rest of Italy. Many years have passed since the publication of the A Sud climbing guidebook and many new routes have been opened up in the meantime.
Some projects have become routes, many sections have taken on significant dimensions, so that you can climb for several days and always try out different routes. New spots have been discovered and some have yet to be developed. Many sectors/areas have been renovated and re-equipped, especially those on the Gargano.
In Puglia you will find a small rock paradise where you can have fun, always with particular attention to safety, respect for nature and those who live and work in the area.
