climbing guidebook Klatrefører for Jotunheimen
Klatrefører for Jotunheimen fully summarises the climbing routes in Norway's wildest mountain landscape. The beauty of the home of the giants is truly breathtaking. The highest mountains in Norway are located here in the south of the country and are part of the Skanden. As exciting and wild as the landscape with its magnificent peaks is, working with the climbing guide can also be challenging - unless you know Norwegian. Although the climbing guide has an extensive, four-language glossary (Norwegian, German, English, French) of all climbing and mountain-related terms and a trilingual (Norwegian, German, English) explanation of the topos, it is definitely tedious to find the desired tour.
The climbing guide contains descriptions of 305 routes, 13 of which are new since the previous edition. There are also descriptions of 15 ridge crossings. 83 routes, i.e. around a quarter of the route descriptions, are provided with detailed maps / topos, while the remaining routes are only described verbally. As a small support, there are 32 overview maps of the various climbing areas and a new alphabetical index of all mountain peaks.
Anyone who has the time and energy to prepare in advance for these routes on these fascinating mountains with the help of this climbing guide, or who simply knows Norwegian and can therefore do it more quickly, is strongly advised to go climbing there.
