climbing guidebook Góry Stołowe. Rejon Szczytnej / Haystack Mountains
Góry Stołowe / Heuscheuergebirge is a part of the Central Sudeten Mountains in Poland. Located in the Glatzer Kettle in Lower Silesia, it borders directly with the Czech Republic to the west and north. As the Góry Stołowe National Park, it has a separate protected status and thus one encounters intact nature.
The new climbing guide by Michal Kajca describes the climbing routes on the sandstone rocks of the Szczytna region. The rocks, which the author divides into 13 sectors, are located in the two neighboring climbing areas of Szczytnik and Toczek. In recent years, the quality of this sandstone has been rediscovered and appreciated in Poland, and that is why this area is experiencing a renaissance. It becomes clear among other things by the fact that a large part of the 400 routes in this climbing guide, namely 305, are completely secured and thus deviate from the usual trad climbing.
Due to its excellent color photo topos, site plans and GPS data of the parking lots, one should be independent of Polish and find to the dream route through this ingenious rock.
