Escalades autour d'Annecy Grandes voies et couennes is the name of the new climbing guidebook by Isabelle and Dominique Mesnage and, despite the similarity to his first book (Escalades autour d'Annecy Grandes voies 7a max et Topos de Highline), it has a different approach and therefore content. In contrast to the first work, which exclusively discusses and presents multi-pitch routes (195 routes in 25 areas between Geneva, Chambery and Annecy), the new topo includes single-pitch as well as multi-pitch routes, a total of 780 routes distributed over 20 areas exclusively around Lake Annecy.
The workmanship is just as good and leaves no doubt about its reliability. Bilingual, the best color photographs, extensive descriptions, clear pictograms and colorful grip marks are guaranteed to lead to climbing happiness.
The choice is now up to the aspirant. Only multi-pitches, a mix of single pitches and multi-pitches or even the climbing guide by Robert Durieux (Escalade Ablon, Annecy et Environs), which presents almost exclusively single pitches, but a lot of them - 1850 pitches.
