climbing guidebook Drevenik Skaly na Slovensku III
The national natural sanctuary Drevenik is located southeast of the village Spišské Podhradie below the Spišský hrad (Spiš Castle) in the Spiš Basin. Scenically beautiful with a view of the high mountains of the Tatras, Drevenik lies about 620 m above sea level. The oldest protected landscape area of Slovakia is waiting with very good limestone rocks and routes up to UIAA 10. Of course there are many of the now 298 recorded routes in the new area climbing guide, not to say the predominant part, which are easier than 8- UIAA. About 2/3 of the routes can be climbed up to 7+ UIAA.
The almost 300 routes are distributed in 3 subareas (Raj, Červené Previsy and Peklo). 187 of them are in the Raj area.
The climbing guide is written in two languages. It conveys all the essentials through words and pictograms. The topos are graphic representations and very readable. In addition, there are plenty of great rock photos that serve orientation, offer historical insights or simply make you want to climb.
The overview of the pictograms used as well as keywords and site plans can be found in the cover flaps. Well done area guide!
