The Bornes Aravis massif is part of the French Pre-Alps and stretches between the broad Arve Valley to the north, the Arly Valley to the east and Lac d'Annecy to the west. The 35 areas described in the climbing guide are all south of Bonneville.
The guide includes both short sport climbing routes and long routes with more than 400 climbing meters. All necessary information is presented by means of pictograms - star rating of the routes, route length, wall slope, required material, sea level of the area, access time, orientation, rain, child-friendliness, GPS data parking facilities.
The long trails are additionally described in their individual lengths. Unfortunately, only in French. However, the book is preceded by an extensive glossary that translates all key words used in the text into German and English.
The topos are very legibly laid over partly full-page color photographs.
