It was about time! The areas around Rome were finally recorded and packaged in 2 climbing guides. The southern part will still take a little time but the northern part is available and is of decent quality.
The presented climbing areas are located in a maximum distance of 150 km in the north of Rome. According to the author, all areas can be reached in max. 2 hours by car. The first area is still within the city of Rome. In both volumes 128 climbing gardens / areas are presented with a total of 222 sectors and 256 multi-pitches and 5558 single pitches. In the volume North there are 71 presented climbing areas!
These are described in detail in two languages. Pictograms and GPS data, as well as site plans of the areas facilitate finding and selecting.
The topos are placed on color photographs of the walls and are of good quality.
In addition, one learns a lot about the belays used in the areas and the difficulty levels.
