It has taken a very long time and many Riss(Adršpach) lovers have been waiting eagerly for it - the new Adršpach I. has been published. The two authors have delivered a great work. In a robust hardcover and on 534 pages, the south-eastern part of the area is fully described and includes nine sectors (Rokle nad Černým jezírkem, Rokle nad Spáleným mlýnem, Za pískovnou, Vstupní obvod, Panoptikum, Jezerka, Janovická Vlčí rokle, Ztracená rokle and Ostrov). The climbing guide reflects the status as of December 31, 2023 and describes 1426 towers and massifs with 4239 routes and 262 variants. It contains 51 detailed plans and drawings of the ground plans of important towers. New in this book is a sophisticated navigation system through the rock labyrinth, which speeds up the process of finding the chosen crag.
According to Jan, the second part is already in the works, but it will take a while yet. Until then, Part 1 should be enough to entice, enthrall or simply enchant.
