Over the past 18 years, more than 700 problems have been opened up in the Murg Valley. For a long time, hardly anyone was aware of the extent of this bouldering paradise. The 700 boulder problems are in all grades. No matter if you are a newcomer at the blocks, a hardcore boulder freak or rather the pleasure boulderer, here you will surely find what you are looking for.
The area's Verrucano rock is known for being very rough and sharp-edged. However, the rock composition has a lot of variety to offer. Some boulders feature conglomerate with smooth pebbles, while others feel similar to sandstone. The washed out creek boulders in the serpentine are completely smooth with virtually no friction. In isolated places, the rock is somewhat brittle. When the boulders are wet, even compact rock structures can break. Therefore, for exposed problems, it is advisable to check out the topouts with rope first.
Bouldering-wise, the rock in the Murgtal really has everything to offer. There are all kinds of holds: Ledges, Handles, Slopers, Pincers and Finger Holes.

The information gathered in the last two years could make this topo possible. The bouldering guide is bilingual and maps all problems on color photos of the blocks. Additional information about the problem beyond the difficulty level, you learn about very good pictograms. The large introductory map, as well as the sectors preceding each one, allow you to quickly find your favorite problem.
