Previously regarded as the little brother of the well-known Sněžník bouldering area and therefore less frequently visited, the Modřín bouldering area has developed into a noticeable “competitor”. Located just 3 km from Sněžník, above the village of Kamenec, Modřín / Modrin now welcomes visitors with 1068 boulder problems of all levels of difficulty. The sandstone of Modřín is very suitable for bouldering as it is particularly hard. The 305 bouldering rocks are spread over 7 sectors and are located below the sandstone cliffs, which are visible from afar and are up to 40 m high. The bouldering guide bears the signature of local Ondřej Beneš and is therefore similar to the Sněžník guide in terms of structure and layout.
