La Dehesa has been a byword for bouldering in Spain for quite some time.
The forest of La Dehesa is located just 4 km from the town of Candelario, in the province of Salamanca, and is home to hundreds of excellent quality blocks. The natural environment is exceptional and of incomparable beauty, and the fusion of environment and boulders makes this area a true bouldering paradise.
The boulders are scattered in meadows or deep in the forest. The height of the boulders varies between 4 and 7 meters.
This bouldering area offers a great variety of problems: It is ideal for advanced climbers or for those who want to get in touch with the world of bouldering for the first time; it is also ideal for families, since many of its sectors are easily accessible, and it is very attractive for climbers seeking more complicated or difficult problems, with a great potential for projects and bouldering in the eighth grade.
Currently, La Dehesa has 875 boulder distributed in 17 sectors. There are many more opportunities for new development, both for new bouldering and new sectors - the potential of this area is enormous. This bouldering guide presents 11 sectors.
